Growing like a weed!

I am growing into such a handsome boy! I think I will catch up to my ears, finally!

Things are going great with my foster family! I don't bother too much with the small dog or cat in the house (sometime I want to play with the cat, but she's "just not that into me"... that's ok).

(I love playing with my toys.  It's ok - this chicken was like that when I found it!)

I have enjoy playing out side too, and am really good with other dogs at the park. I have no fear or aggression, or any of those bad traits!

We are still working on the leash skills ... I get a little excited if a rabbit is near, or if there is another dog around that I'd like to play with. I try to always listen to my foster mom, and am doing much better with listening to her with those distractions. She says I've come leaps and bounds! When it is time to leave for a walk, I sit at the front door and waits patiently for my leash, just like a real gentleman.

I am also practicing waiting patiently for my food ... this is a work in progress because I'm a growing boy and love to eat! I get better and better with each meal though!

My "skills"

In my foster home, I have learned some pretty handy things.

For example, I'm totally house-trained! I make sure to always get my foster mom's attention to let me out when I need to go.

We are working on leash skills ... they are coming along! I will keep practising!

I am also quite content in my kennel - it's like my own room. I have no problems going in there. I also don't bark much. I think my cuteness gets enough attention, anyway. :)

I'd love to meet you!
Just get in touch with Misty Creek Dog Rescue to set up a meet & greet!

About me!

Since I am 6 months old, and growing like a weed ... I have a lot of energy! I love to play and go for walks.

I like other big dogs a lot, but I am best only around big dogs for now. I'm just figuring out how strong I am, so my interactions with small dogs and cats are a work in progress. My foster mom makes sure to monitor me while we work on "playing nice with the cat".

I need a strong owner who will take good care of me. My breed is strong-willed, but I am eager to learn, and very smart! I pick up on things quite fast.

I play hard, but I also sleep hard! I love to snuggle up at my foster mom's feet for a good nap! Or even just rest with a delicious bone to chew...

A little intro....

Hi! My name is Rocky and I'm a neutered, 6 month old German Shepherd cross. As you can see, I'm incredibly cute. I'm pretty sure I'll grow into my ears ....

I am a good boy with TONS of energy!
